Who can attend?
• Participants’ age range from teens through 27 years
• Participants are single, married, have children or are pregnant

• Ongoing program throughout the year
• General support offered based on young parent’s needs
• Guest speakers and information sessions

RAPP (The Relatives as Parents Program)
The Relatives as Parents Program is a support group offered to meet the special needs of those who find themselves “parenting the second time around.”
Who can attend?
• Anyone who is raising a child/children to whom they are related
What is offered?
• Information on legal issues, medical concerns, resources, parenting and discipline, stress management.
• Free childcare
• Conversation with others who are experiencing similar concerns

Somersworth Housing Authority Support Group
Who can attend?
• Most of the participants live at SHA but anyone can attend as long as you are a parent.
What is discussed?
• Managing a family while returning to work
• Keeping children safe
• Talking to your child’s teacher
• Drug and alcohol abuse prevention
• Family Communication
• Resolving conflict
• Discipline
• Free childcare

The Dad's group is a support group for fathers, fathers-to-be or father figures of children of all ages. Participants talk about the challenges and joys of being a father.

Morning Support Groups – Parent Time & Kid Talk
Is your child transitioning into school? Are you wondering how you can set more clear limits at home? Do you want help understanding your own parenting style? Join with other parents to share the joys and challenges of parenting. Parents meet in our newly renovated McConnell Community Center space while the children’s program staff offers fun and creative activities for the kids in the new child care space in the next room over.
